February 6, 1928 Dear Mrs. Quintan: Thank you for the publicity and all the returns that you have had from the Show. Mrs. Whitney is very pleased and encouraged, and I am sure that we owe the success of it entirely to your efforts. The matter of sales concerns me tremendously, as you know. I am going to make an effort to sell something at each stopping place on the way. This we have accomplished so far. The Speicher being sold in Minneapolis, the Watson and the Schnakenberg by you. I think it would be wise and fair if the purchasers of these pictures would pay something on account to secure the sale. Do you agree with me, and will you tell me if you think fifty dollars on each of the pictures you sold is all right? I am doing this because I have had so much experience with people changing their minds, and it would not be fair in case we had other offers in other towns, as I am sure we will.
