Dear Mrs. Force:
Thanks you for your kind letter acknowledging our check in payment for the Eugene Speicher flower painting. I only wish that we might have been able to sell others from this exhibition which did a great deal to bring the Whitney Studio group before our public.
As I think I have written before, I liked the show very much, really better, I think, than any other Whitney Studio Club show I have seen, although my infrequent visits to New York do not permit me to keep close in touch with the exhibitions. You may be sure that we appreciate what you are doing for American art through circulating this exhibition and on a basis which makes it possible to reach thousands who never would have a chance to see it otherwise.
Your vacation in the south makes those of us who watch the theromometer hover around zero mark very envious. I am sure you enjoyed it very much.
Which kindest regards, I am
sincerely,
Director.
