Dear Mr. Ronnebeck:
We are sending you today the painting "Upstream" by Kuniyoshi which was purchased in Denver. Would it be too much trouble for you to close the transaction for us and forward the check to me less the commission which the Museum charges?
The exhibition was held at the Art Students' League for two weeks after its return from the tour and made a very good impression on critics and artists and a small public, who is really inter-ested and to whom I addressed it. The success in its travels has been more than I anticipated. In each case reports have been enthusiastic and we have sold at least one picture in each stopping place. I am sorry to say I am skeptical enough to think that a "proof of the pudding". Whether I shall send another traveling show next year or not I have not yet decided, but I want to take this opportunity to thank you for all you have done, and hope that if you come on this summer you will be sure to drop in and see me. Let me know before hand if you come, because I expect to go abroad to stay about three months.
