Dear Mrs. Force:
I was so sorry to miss the meeting of the committee but grateful to Mrs. Sloan for telling me all about it. She says that you are ready to receive the checks and I am sending my contribution $250. I approve of the letter which is going out and think that it is very wise to try for many small contributions. It makes the gift all the more significant since so many artists will wish to contribute their bit. If anyone patron gave too much the gift would have less value to Sloan and mean less in the Museum. Wishing you all success in the campaign to raise the full five thousand dollars and asking you again to let me know if there is anything more I can do, any letter I can write, etc.,
Sincerely yours
