Mr. Cecil Howard,
14 Avenue du Maine,
Paris, XVe, France.
Dear Mr. Howard:
The stone figure of yours that Mrs. Whitney owns and which was in our exhibition is too fragile, and I think it should not be sent to Chicago. They asked me some time ago and I told them this, and I was sure you would have something else for them. I think it is good discipline for them to realize they cannot have everything they want, Chicago especially.
I talked this over with Mrs. Whitney and she absolutely agrees the figure should not go, and if you will write and say so, I think you will find they have just as much appreciation of your work, even more.
With kindest regards to Mrs. Howard and yourself, I am
Sincerely yours,
