Mrs. Julian Forse;
The Whitney Studio Club
8 West 8th Street, N. Y.
Dear Mrs Force;
I am sorry to hear that the club is to be disbanded, and only regret that I was not a member longer to enjoy more the pleasures and advantages of it.
I suppose that as you are now giving up the premises for that purpose you will want to get rid of work that artists have with you. I am not coming to America for some little time and will therefore ask you to be good enough to send the engravings and any paintings ( except the portrait of Miss Jean Tennyson ) to the Weyhe Gallery for me. The painting of Miss Jean Tennyson I would like put in my old lodging at 20 West 8th Street, in care of Miss Land, the proprietoress.
I regret to put you to this trouble, and thank you in anticipation.
With best wishes
Yours sincerely
