THE MINNEAPOLIS INSTITUTE OF ARTS
MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA
OFFICE OF THE DIRECTOR
December 12, 1927.
Dear Mrs. Force:
I am sending you separately some of the catalogues
of the exhibition which has been most successful. Yesterday,
Mr. Van Doren gave an excellent lecture illustrated by slides
taken from many of the paintings and the students from the Art
School which is affiliated with the museum, have been here
frequently to study the canvases.
I am having photographs made of this gallery which
although they may not be very satisfactory, will give you an
idea of the general appearance of the show when hung. I am
also sending clippings from local papers, some of which contain
articles that had been written before the show was hung and
one before even the photographs were available.
You may be sure we appreciate your co-operation in
making this show possible and trust that the response which it
arouses here will make you feel that the project has been worth
your trouble.
With kindest regards, I am
Sincerely,
R Plimpton
Director.
Mrs. Juliana R. Force,
New York City.
