Dear Mrs. McKnight:
I hope you have not forgotten our
very nice talk the hectic evening you sailed. I
haven't and am writing to tell you that the exhibition
which I am sending West is assembled, and I have asked
the Director of your Museum if he will schedule this
show for December, that being the month I remember you
said you would be in town. I am depending upon you to
help arouse interest in this show and do hope that you
will share some of the enthusiasm which I have for it.
If you can use any influence in getting this show ac-
cepted, will you do it, because I have no acquaintance
with the Director nor anybody in Minneapolis, and they
do not know me, I am sure, though they should know the
Whitney Studio Club.
Will you advise me also if you think
I should come out for the opening of this show, and if
there is any chance of having Mr. Watson invited to
lecture anywhere in Minneapolis during the time of the
exhibition? I seem to be putting this all on your
shoulders, but I rely on our talk together that evening
I met you. Do let me hear from you soon.
