Description--Front	In this black and white photograph, a canal cuts through the middle of the postcard’s frame and proceeds through a distant rural town. A trestle bridge spans the canal at the center of the postcard and connects unpaved roads that run parallel to the canal. Macedon, N.Y. is diagonally handwritten in white at the bottom-right corner, on top of dark bushes. There is a slight tear at the midpoint of the left edge. The canal's nearside is elevated; the farside is at the waterline. Fences run along the edge of the canal's nearside; the farside has no fences.

Digitization Specifications	Archive masters were scanned at 600 ppi, 24 bit color using a Canon CanoScan 88800F and SiverFast Ai scanning software and saved as uncompressed TIFFs using Photoshop CS4 and Mac OS 10.5.
