Description--Front	A view looking down the Black River Canal in Rome, New York. There is a towpath on the right that begins in the lower corner of the post card and disappears into the horizon in the center of the post card. There is [presumably] a lock next to the building on the left with a water spilling over the lock. On the right side there are a row of buildings and a street that leads to a bridge. There is [presumably] a foot path on the left side that leads from the house that is also parallel to a stream. There are six wavy marks that is [presumably] from a postmark.
