Description--Front	This is a color postcard depicting a view from the Narrows around the Hudson River. There is a large body of water with reflections and two large mountains can be seen behind the water. On the water, three sailboats and another vessel are visible in the distance; a small village can be seen on the shore. Behind the mountains, water and sailboats a beautiful cloudy sky is depicted; the sun is either rising or setting.

Digitization Specifications	Archive masters were scanned at 600 ppi, 24 bit color using a Canon CanoScan 8800F and CanoScan ScanGear scanning software and saved as uncompressed TIFFs using Photoshop CS3 and Mac OS 10.4. Derivative access files were saved as medium quality JPEGs, 150dpi, 1000 pixels on the long dimension. Thumbnails were generated automatically by CONTENTdm.
